Grégoire Rolland, compositeur en résidence au Festival "Autour du Ventoux".

From July 20 to 27, 2025, Grégoire Rolland will be composer-in-residence at the "Autour du Ventoux" Festival. The festival will feature several of his chamber music pieces, and the Soare Quartet will premiere "Chromatophores," a work for string quartet commissioned by the festival. A meet-and-greet presentation with the composer will take place on July 21 in Entrechaux.

The Girard quartet and Moya Yu (piano) will performe a concert for this event at the Pavillon de la Sirène in Paris (14e).

On February 20th and 21st, the Auditorium-Orchestre National de Lyon will premiere "Omoï", in a orchestral version, conducted by Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider. France Musique will record the concert to broadcast it on March 31st.

Grégoire Rolland Lauréat du Superphonique des Collégiens et du Superphonique des Professeur-e-s de collège !

On May 23, 2024, the 25th Superphoniques award ceremony of the Maison de la Musique Contemporaine was held, at the Pavillon de la Sirène in Paris. Competing in the middle school category, Grégoire Rolland won the Superphonique voted by the students, and the Superphonique voted by the teachers.
He therefore received the commission for a work of chamber music by the Maison de la Musique Contemporaine, in conjunction with ProQuartet, which will be premiere in 2025.

Direction artistique du Printemps Musical à Frigolet

The FCPN association (Frigolet, Culture, Heritage, Nature) call on Grégoire Rolland for the artistic direction of their new festival "Le Printemps Musical à Frigolet". For this first edition which takes place from May 9 to 12, 2024, the festival will organize 4 concerts around the voice.

Création mondiale de la "Missa Mare Nostrum" lors de la messe du Pape, au Stade Orange-Velodrome de Marseille

On Saturday September 23, at 4.30 p.m., the Pope will celebrate a mass at the Stade Orange-Vélodrome in Marseille. On this occasion, the Diocese of Marseilles placed an order with Grégoire Rolland for a Mass Ordinary, "Missa Mare Nostrum". The composer will accompany the premiere of this work and the entirety of this event on the organ.

Grégoire Rolland is selected to participate in the 2024 SuperPhoniques competition of the Maison de la Musique Contemporaine, with his work Sheng, for 6 female voices a cappella. This will be studied in several dozen colleges in France, and by several thousand students.

Création mondiale de "L'Arbre de Vie", Fantaisie concertante pour orgue et orchestre

May 25th 8h30 pm, the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire, conducted by Nil Venditti, and Isabelle Demers on the organ, will premiered "L'Arbre de Vie", concertante fantasy for organ and orchestra.
" The Tree of Life is often seen as a symbol of eternity and is found in many cultures and has been the subject of numerous pictorial respresentations.
The roots of this tree represent the origins of life. The tree unfolds vertically with the trunk, symbolising solidity and strenght, and then continues its evolution with the branches, which sometimes fall back to join the roots. In this way, it represents circularity, where the roots become branches and vice versa.
For this concertante fantasy for organ and orchestra, I wanted to define the different parts of the tree and its characteristics from a sound point of view. The work begins by exploring the low register of the orchestra and the organ, with melodic lines that respond to each other and intertwine, like roots. They lead to a more harmonic, vertical part, referring to the trunk of the tree, where the organ and the brass respond to each other. Then the woodwinds of the orchestra and the organ take up the root motifs in the high register and develop them, symbolising the branches and their close relationship with the roots. The following parts of this fantasy superimpose the different elements through variations, culminating in a cadenza for the organ, which takes up all the musical elements on its own. The last part of the work features a calming atmosphere of tinkling sounds symbolising the fruits of the tree, before the final burst of the organ and orchestra. [...] "

Nouvel album - œuvres pour Chœur et Orgue

On October 5, 2022, a new album will be released by the Anima Nostra label, a monograph including works for choir and organ, and some pieces for organ. These works are performed by the Dulci Jubilo Chamber Choir conducted by Christopher Gibert, and Thomas Ospital on the organ of the Saint-Eustache church in Paris.
